PoolLock V5M Easy Glide

Overview

The PoolLock V5 Manual Easy Glide Safety Cover surpasses other manual systems on the market due to its integrated gear (ratio 4:1). To open the cover, simply use the crank handle, which also acts as a key, and it can be easily removed for added safety. To close the cover, use the harness. This system serves as a foundation for automation as it can be upgraded by replacing the mechanism with a Hydraulic mechanism and powerpack.

Additionally, the V5 Manual can be installed with any of the options mentioned earlier (top track, top mechanism, etc.).

Added Benefits

As parents and as owners of Designer Pool Covers, we strongly encourage all pool owners to have a comprehensive safety plan in place. It is mandatory by law to have a safety feature such as a net, fence, or pool cover* installed for every pool.

Our range of covers is the perfect safety device as it acts like a horizontal fence, sealing off the pool completely and preventing accidental or unsupervised access by children, pets, and uninvited visitors.

In addition to this, our range of covers boasts other safety features, such as:

• Strength: our covers can support up to 150kg (on manual options) and 250 kg per m² (on automated options).

• Accessibility: our covers can be locked and closed using various systems, depending on the product chosen.

• Tamper-proof and durable.

*More information about each product will be covered in the following sections.

We recommend implementing multiple layers of security around your pool. However, it’s important to note that proper supervision and safety practices are irreplaceable.

Installation Options of PoolDeck

This installation method is exclusively used for rectangular pools that are either newly built or undergoing renovation. This is because the pocket profile with the under track must be installed beneath the coping tiles or decking. The mechanism is always located in a concrete pit on the deep end of the pool. Optional extras may include a vanishing lid system to match the pool’s finishes, such as tiling or decking.

The benefits of this option include no obstructions around the pool area, which preserves the aesthetics of the environment. This method enables effortless maintenance and is easily sustainable.

If you are willing to have some work done around your pool, you can choose this type of installation. The principle is the same as described above except the mechanism is positioned in the pit bellow the deck level. The pit for the mechanism must be built. You can choose either wooden or polymer lid to cover the pit and decide whether to use the TOP (or FLAT) track.

If you are willing to have some work done around your pool, you can choose this type of installation. The principle is the same as described with the ‘under track – under mechanism option’ except the mechanism is positioned in the pit below the pool level. The pit for the mechanism must be built. Optional extras will be a vanishing lid system to accommodate the finishes of your pool (tiling, decking or steel).

This option’s advantages include a straightforward installation process and easy maintenance.

If you have an existing swimming pool and want to avoid extensive work around the pool area, you can select this installation method. The track is installed parallel to each other on top of your coping or decking, and the mechanism sits at the finished level of the pool. This installation can use the top (or flat) track, and the mechanism can be covered with a bench for sitting on.

This option offers advantages such as a fast turnaround on installation and easy maintenance.

This option is ideal for new pool builds as it is simpler to implement the pit during the building phase. The cover still operates on a track system, but one side is mounted to the outside wall of the rim flow.

The advantages of this option include no obstructions around the pool area, which preserves the aesthetics of the pool environment and the rim.

The PoolLock Hydraulic Vinyl Cover options are suitable for freeform pools, whether newly built or existing. As long as there is a flat surface around the pool and enough space to install the tracks on the paving, this option will work. The track is installed parallel to each other on top of your coping or decking, and the mechanism sits at the finished level of the pool. This installation can use the top (or flat) track, and the mechanism can be covered with a bench.

The benefits of this option include a fast turnaround on installation and easy maintenance.
