The PoolDeck slatted covers are custom made to fit any size and shape pool, whether it is indoor, outdoor, residential or commercial. You can choose from a wide variety of polycarbonate or high-quality PVC slats, as well as different installation options to ensure that the cover is integrated perfectly with your pool surroundings.
Our slatted covers are easy to install and even easier to operate. Just press a button or turn a key to cover or uncover your pool. Not only are our slatted covers elegant and stylish, but they will ensure you save money due to the various benefits that were listed. The main benefit is that the polycarbonate option can increase your pool’s temperature.
Please note: Slatted covers float on water. Slats are air-sealed and have a buoyancy factor. For slatted covers to also act as a safety cover, either a safety ledge or stainless steel handrail is required so nothing can slip between the side of the pool and the internal wall of the pool. This acts as a catchment and prevents the slats from tilting too deep under water. This option can be included on all installation options mentioned here.
As parents and as owners of Designer Pool Covers, we strongly encourage all pool owners to have a comprehensive safety plan in place. It is mandatory by law to have a safety feature such as a net, fence, or pool cover* installed for every pool.
Our range of covers is the perfect safety device as it acts like a horizontal fence, sealing off the pool completely and preventing accidental or unsupervised access by children, pets, and uninvited visitors.
In addition to this, our range of covers boasts other safety features, such as:
• Strength: our covers can support up to 150kg (on manual options) and 250 kg per m² (on automated options).
• Accessibility: our covers can be locked and closed using various systems, depending on the product chosen.
• Tamper-proof and durable.
*More information about each product will be covered in the following sections.
We recommend implementing multiple layers of security around your pool. However, it’s important to note that proper supervision and safety practices are irreplaceable.

• Dirt, leaves, and debris are kept out of the pool.
• Some options even keep rainwater out.
Save time and effort on cleaning – simply open a Designer Pool Cover, and your pool will be crystal clear and swim-ready all year round.
We offer customized manual or automatic covers and provide a variety of installation options (including above ground or below ground) for new builds, existing, and free-form pools based on your requirements and project budget.
In addition, we provide different color options and finishes to choose from.
During the construction of your pool, a wet pit is included to house the mechanism, and an optional lid system is installed at one level with the surrounding surfaces of the pool, providing a clean and polished look.
This option offers several benefits, including no obstructions around the pool and maintaining the pool’s aesthetics.
If you have an existing pool, this is an excellent option as slats can be custom cut to fit your pool’s various sizes, and then neatly folded up into a bench of your choice. The advantages of this option include a straightforward installation process, minimal preparation requirements, and easy maintenance and access for servicing.
This option is most suitable for new builds as it looks neater when concealed in a wet pit, although it can also be installed as an above-ground unit. It enhances the pool’s aesthetics, adding to its overall appearance.
Whether you have an existing or new pool build, this option can be implemented, provided that everything is square. The cover will emerge from a gap of approximately 75mm, and a lid system is provided to support tiling.
