Overview

A technically superior cover, it is supported across the pool by aluminum poles that are secured into the cover through sleeves.  One end is anchored into place with removable stainless steel drop in securing anchor bolts. The opposite end has corresponding Smartstrap™ ratchets which allow the cover to be tensioned and secured forming a safety barrier over the swimming pool. An industrial reinforced webbed drainage system has been double welded between each pole in the cover which allows rain and sprinkler water to drain into the swimming pool easier and quicker.

The unique industrial webbed™ drainage system also eliminates the use of a small pump to drain the water off the cover. This eliminates small pools forming on top of the cover, something that poses a threat to curious toddlers. The cover has a 300mm overlap on all sides, so when the cover is tensioned horizontally across the pool, this pulls the poles downwards thus allowing zero access by children and pets due to the overlap.

Added Benefits

Supported across the pool by aluminium battens that are secured into the PVC cover, one end is anchored into place with removable anchor bolts. The opposite end has corresponding ratchets which allow the cover to be tightened. Two people are required to operate the cover.

The lockable strapping system makes it difficult for a small child to tamper with or attempt to release the cover.

A common drawback with first generation PVC covers is that rain or sprinkler water can collect on top of a PVC pool cover, forming a small pool that curious toddlers may be tempted to play in. Our second generation PowerPlastics Solid Safety Cover features drainage holes to eliminate these pools forming on top of the cover.

Made from 550-600 gsm PVC, aluminium battens and industrial strength stainless steel ratchets.

Please note that the weight of the PowerPlastics Solid Safety Cover will increase according to the pool size. While there are different methods to cover and uncover one’s pool which do not involve picking the entire cover up – ever – there is a certain inherent weight to the cover. The weight can be calculated as follows: m2 x 1.5kg.

A variety of colours mean this cover can blend into the look and feel of the outdoor living area. Comes in Blue/Black, Black, Racing Green, Brown and StoneGrey.

The PowerPlastics Solid Safety Cover and all parts carry a one year warranty. The expected lifespan of the cover is three to six years. The aluminium battens should last three times that period.

Installation Options

At the start of the construction of the swimming pool, different types of below ground systems can be chosen. The following solutions that can be offered. For every cover system, a covering of the cover pit can be provided.

  • In the cover pit behind the pool.

  • Inside the pool.

  • In a pit with a front panel.

  • In the bottom.

  • In cover housing.

  • In the steps with a upper panel.

  • In a recess in the wall.

  • Underneath the bottom with a removable lid.

  • Underneath the bottom with an automatic lid.

  • In the middle with an automatic lid

It is not always possible to install a below ground cover system on an existing swimming pool. The solutions are then above ground systems. The advantages of these systems are the optimal use of the operational length of the swimming pool and no need for complex adjustments to the structure of the swimming pool.

  • With side panels (without bench).

  • Removable (manual/automated).

  • Cover at height.

  • With solar powered motor.
